Programs KFI Seeks to Support
Empower Girls to Play and Thrive
KFI recognizes the potential of sport-based programs as a vehicle to combat pervasive and constricting gender norms which limit girls’ abilities to exercise their rights and achieve better sexual and reproductive health outcomes. The goal of the Empower Girls to Play and Thrive (Empower Girls) project is to expand sports programs at JMK Park to promote and enhance the Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) of adolescent girls, and to strengthen essential life skills such as teamwork, cooperation, and problem solving, skills which are inherent to sport, and crucial for adolescent girls to realize their SRHR.
JMK Park General Operating Support
The Jakaya M. Kikwete Youth Park (JMK Park) is seeking unrestricted general support donations to cover working capital to sustain day-to-day operations. Funding is critical to JMK Park’s sustainability and organizational effectiveness – to strengthen human resource capacity so that the organization can expand and scale their successful sports for development programs for youth in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
